my daughter was given a shot of rocephin (a one dose, super strong antibiotic for ear infections) yesterday afternoon at about 2p.m. This morning she had little red dots under both eyes and she still has it...after looking it up on google I'm scared. But she's acting o.k. and has no other symptoms so I'm conflicted..anybody know anything about this?

This isn't a good place to get medical advice... talk to the doctor ONLY.

Just call the doctor. I broke out in a rash after taking an antibiotic, and it just ended up being a very itchy rash. It went away once I stopped taking the antibiotic. Just make sure to tell doctors in the future about this, just to be safe. It could be an allergic reaction, or something totally unrelated.

this could possibly be something serious. i had to get a shot of rocephin once and i also broke out a rash with little red dots [including under my eyes], i was taken to the ER and found out that im allergic to it.
allergies to any kind of medication can become very serious. it would be smart to seek medical help soon.

She may be allergic to the antibiotic, in which case the reaction could be much more severe if she ever receives the same or a similar medication again. Her doctor should be notified.

watch her very close cause lf her body starts to swell she might be allergic to the shot the Doctor gave her. and lf this happens lf her body starts to swell do not waste your time. get her to into a nearest Hospital a.s.a.p. and lf your really worried about this then take your daughter to the Hospital. but watch her close. good luck
