I am on Weight Watchers and am looking for a healthy alternative to splenda. I am hoping I could use fresh fruit, applesauce or juice instead of stevia or splenda. Does anyone know if this is possiable?

I would say go for it. The small amount of fruits you are going to replace the spenda with are going to be better for you in the long run rather than eating that fakey crap. More fiber, more nutritional advantages. There will be more calories, but you'll just have to walk around the block one more time to get rid of those.

Stevia is absolutely a great alternative. It is an herb- 100% natural. It has been used in Japan since 1974 as an alternative to chemical sweeteners (Splenda, Nutrasweet). Stevia cannot be patented. It is 100% natural.

I'm sure you could use stevia. Stevia however has not been evaluated by the FDA. This worries me a bit.

I don't really see anything wrong with splenda. I use it for mostly for oatmeal and ice tea. But I use it daily.

I have used it for a long time and so far so good.

A healthy alternative is Stevia powder. It a very old sweetening herb used by Egyptians. No calories, and healthy for you too. You need less too. Just 1/16 of a teaspoon works great for your tea! per bottle, over 5,600 serving because you need so little to sweeten with it. I always use it! email me with questions if you have any! hope i help

Stevia, is the only healthy thing to splenda or sugar or anything. You can find that at your local health food store.

that is not fit yet once you have diabetes it may be extra advantageous to no longer have commonplace sugar, yet splenda is created from chemical compounds purely so it could style like sugar, honey could be extra advantageous by using fact that is extra organic somewhat.

Splenda isn't unhealthy. If you are looking for a sugar substitute in baking, you could try fructose.
