the heart does gets stronger.exercising improves the flow of blood thru all the blood vessels and especially thru the heart.as the heart pumps blood more efficiently the blood is able to reach all the organs at an increased speed and more effectively.with no exercise the heart does get slowed down.

The heart's a muscle. When you exercise, the heart works harder to keep the body supplied with the extra oxygen it needs. The more you work a muscle (such as the heart) the stronger it gets.

I'll explain it best I can. Your metabolism kicks up when your heart works. You may feel weak and tired after you exercise, but your heart is working overtime. It is pumping extra blood throughout the body so you don't faint and pass out after let's say biking or walking 2 or 3 miles. Exercise is good for the body and it does have weird effects. Especially for diabetics like myself, I must exercise. I haven't been doing much of it because it's cold, lol. But yea exercise whenever you can. It's actually good for the heart.

The heart is a muscle, any muscle that is exercised increases its capacity to do work (i.e. get's stronger and has better endurance).

all muscles get stronger with exercise. If you put a load on your body your heart must work harder and therefore gets exercised
