Hi. I recentally took leave of abscence from my grad. program until I can move to the town where it is held. As an undergrad I had multiple opportunties to engage in volunteer work and I loved it! Now i'm applying for jobs and at home all day. I need a project! Hopefully something I can do mostly from home. I'm used to working on multicultural or advocacy issues and i've started and completed some home projects already. I need any ideas you can give me, something to make me feel useful. Thanx!

Check out the Relay For Life in your area. They are all over the country and a lot of fun!

Relay For Life is an overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, parks, and fairgrounds and take turns walking laps. Each team tries to keep at least one member on the track at all times while the team camps out overnight. A team usually consists of 8-15 people.

Throughout the night there is live music, games, food, etc.

They always need help planning and always need teams to join.

there is a website that lists only jobs that are telecommute jobs.

You must have a resume and will have to interview for them, and some of them require you to have previous telecommute experience.

Many of them are sales or jobs where you have to have special skills such as web design but there are some customer service jobs there as well.

More info and job listings in the source

Help me with "The world is not your ashtray". many cigarette smokers think its Ok to throw butts on the ground. they are so toxic and really screwing with the aquatic ecosystem. I print little cards with the info on the toxic chemicals in cigarette butts and pass them to people I see throwing them on the ground.
