No, it won't make you shrink in height.

Try pilates and you'll be standing taller. It's true!

How can I prove you wrong? I've been working out for 2 years now and haven't lost any inches. I've gained muscle, pride, and stand taller thanks to many years of pilates.

I wouldn't worry about it. Stunting growth has to do with damage to the growth plates in your bones. if you are already around 6' tall then that may be all that you will get depending on genetics. Work out because you will thank yourself for it later on.

Actually they do say it is true... I have a 13 yr old son and they have special trainers at the gym for that for reason...now if that is true, don't know...

How can anyone know if you were going to be 6'4" but workd out so you only ended up being 5"11"... seriously how do you know that????

You can't do weight till you are 16-17 otherwise your growth will be stunted.

However you can do sports of any kind (running, bike, swimming, etc) without danger for your growth.

I have never heard this, and think its a bad myth. There is nothing biologically that could support this, at least not that I know of. Work out...height is in your genes, not in your work out pattern.

No working out is good for you.
If anything I think it would make you grow more.

you have all wrong...is not the body that shrink.

But in combination with steroids...something else will shrink....if you are a male...
