Just tell him that you don't like dances. But you should tell him that if he asks he can take you to get a pop or something. You may never know he might become your best friend you should never look at someone on the outside, you should find out what kind of person he is. The only reason some people act funny is because they are afraid of you and everyone else will make fun of him. I was one of those people and the thing I don't understand is why couldn't people find out who I am, But they made fun of me because I didn't have new clothes or my makeup wasn't he same or my hair was done the right way. Just think what you would feel like if someone done that to you. Just keep that in mind. I really didn't like high school because of it. People can be real harsh

Your use of the word "nerdy" betrays you. You are interested only in how people look. The nerdy guy is a lot luckier than he can know that you are not interested. Stick with the hot guys. You'll end up like all the rest - 45 (but still dressing like you're 15), divorced with 3 kids, prospects -zero.

Umm its a toughy..Do you wanna go to this dance at all or just not with him...?? You know just cause he looks nerdy doesn't mean his feelings are any less then yours . If you don't like him thats ok . But you'll never know what kinda person your missing out on ...who knows he could just sweep you off your feet. But if you never give the poor kid a chance you'll never know right ?
Give him a chance it's just one dance..
But don't judge books by the cover..who knows what kinda story is inside.

Well first of all it's just a rumor so don't stress over rumors. And second don't call people nerdy thats insulting. But like someone already said jus chill/hangout with him you don't have to date him or anything. Jus be his friend be nice to him.

Give him a chance, girl. Or tell him you don't want to go to the dance, but go to the movies or something instead. You never know...you might really like him.

Just tell him the truth. Either that, or you can just tell him you'll go to the dance with him, but only as a friend. Or there's the possibility of running away when he asks you... that's helped me in the past :D

Be honest..You can be honest and not be mean at the same time. Just tell him thank you for the offer but I'm just not interested in going out right now. If he does ask, just be honest and try not to be hurtful. If the situation were reversed, how would you want someone to treat you?

Nicolette, you've already told this guy no once before. What do you mean by giving him a break? Breaking his poor nerdy heart? No..... Just tell him no like before, it will be less painful to him than leading him on.

tell him that you dont like dances, but you'd be willing to try friends, at least for a while. If he gets really bad, just talk to him less. if you're worried about your self image, dont be. You are who you are, and no guy or friend will change that.
