(I have a federal felony conviction, which is two years old, and it was a white collar offense. I served 5 months at a camp and had 5 months house arrest.) Thank you for your answer.

If you can find a company to employ you in the first place, then you should be able to get a work permit. You need to be employed in Thailand first before applying for the permit. I don't think the Thai authorities would need to know that you've been a convicted felon before

Trouble would be getting a US passport with a felony conviction.

To correct an earlier response, you need a work permit before you can work, thats the reason for the permit. Also, when you apply, your going to need to say who your going to work for. I don't think your going to apply for a work permit if you don't have a job to go to.
