That's up to each individual. I personally believe that college is a good time to explore intimacy, and having a serious relationship if you happen to meet the right person along the way that you can see yourself being serious with. But at the same time, it's important not to get too carried away in the social aspect of college, as your primary purpose is to do well at school, and keep up with your studies. Many people prefer to seek intimate relationships until after college, when they're more independent and know what it is they're seeking in a relationship, which I respect and admire as well.

This is how I feel about it ...

You should stay a virgin till you're married.
God intended it to be that way.
But many, MANY people abuse that.
And God looks down on those people.

You don't just give your virginity to just anybody.
It is the best present you can give your future husband.
It is you... it is all of you.

If you become pregnant, you can handle it better when you're married.
You'll have that person beside you who promised to always be by your side.
It won't be some random guy or some guy who you THOUGHT loved you.

Sex makes many things complicated in an unmarried relationship.
It takes two very mature people.
You do not want to get yourself lost in everything that comes with sex.
Most people nowadays tend to just BASE their relationship on sex.

I have a boyfriend of almost a year that I am completely in love with. We are also in college. We talk about marriage and how I want to wait till our wedding day to have sex. He truly does love me... he respects me. That's when you KNOW you have a great guy. That's when you KNOW he's in love with you... when he has absolutely no problem in waiting. Actions speak louder than words...

I would approve of occasional sex with a friend in college, but not meaningful relationships. There's just not time for that. But everyone needs to cool off (heat up?) here and now.

Ok well that depends who you ask in college...many people say very, many will say not at all...I think that if you are going to college then you should be there to study...that doesn't mean you can't be in an intimate relationship, but it should not be something that anyone should have to worry about. If you find yourself constantly worrying how you will fit in if you don't have sex then maybe you are not quite ready for that surrounding.

Sex is important because it keeps you sane when youre stress'n. But you never compromise your education for anyone, especially in th name of sex.
