I want to dye my hair black, but have honey blond hair. If I get a non permanent dye, is there any chance it will wash out without staining permanently?

Also should I tint my eyebrows as well- they are dark blond, and I have fairly pale skin, and green/ grey eyes.

Thanks

So there is no way that I can go black haired, without permanent damage to my hair then? It will necessitate stripping and redying?

Black hair dye is a very tricky color. I can tell you that even if you use a semi-permanent black dye, the color will definitely stay in alot longer than the box states, if not practically be permanent. Also, black hair is very difficult to pull off. It's very rare that a person that doesn't have the color naturally will look good with it. (and by good I mean pretty, natural almost. Not gothic or washed-out.) If you're skin is too light, you will look gothic; if it has the wrong undertones, the shade will clash and make you look horrible. Another thing: black dye tends to look very fake. I have not met a person that colored their hair black that I couldn't tell it was a hairdye and not their natural color. If you want to go dark, try a dark ash brown instead. Not only would this shade look much better against your light skin, but it's a heck of alot easier to remove if you don't like it. If you're going to do this, either tint your eyebrows or buy an eyebrow enhancing product (such as maybelline ultra brow) to darken them. It drives me nuts when I see people that color their hair a shade that is drastically different than their own and leave their eyebrows the wrong color. It really makes the haircolor look fake, and it's not very pretty at all. Hope that helps!

I personally think black dyes hair tends to look so phony and unnatural a chocolat brown would be more becoming. Ultimatly it is your hair and you should do what you want. A temporary dye should wash out with out a problem I think I would leave my brows a lone unless you really love the look then get them done by a trusted professional.

My daughter did the same thing. Her natural color was dark blond and the non permanent
black lasted about 2 months. If your present
hair color is not natural, the black will damage the color because it is more porous.

I know a friend like that....
This is just my opinion, but black just makes you look concieted.
If you do, it will damage your hair! No more honey blonde hair you had before!

It will probably wash out some, but your hair will still be pretty dark. After you wash your hair, it won't be as dark as when you first dyed it.

Well, personally I think it looks alright. But many older people will think it's innapropriate, and very...dark. It will stain permantly, and trust me. It won't look pretty.

So I think you shouldn't do it all.

Nope, it will just fade to a dull blk color. PLZ don't do it, once you get tired of blk, it will cost $$$ to strip it out, leaving your hair a nasty strawlike texture!!!

K this kinda isn't related, but i'm begging you, please don't dye your hair black. i know it seems like a good idea now, but in a few years you're not going to want it like that.
