HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BETWEEN THE CITIZENSHIP INTERVIEW AND THE OATH IN THE STATE OF COLORADO?

MY wife went through exactly this experience a few years ago.

I think there can be a great variation depending on where you are going to take the oath. In her case it was about a month, but the timing was obviously a function of how many people they had to swear in, and the facilities they had available to use.

I think in a major port like NYC, the delay would be minimal since they deal with a huge number of people and have to move them through quickly once they have passed the test. In smaller centers, the delay would, understandably, be longer.

My wife's experience would probably lie in the middle since she swore the oath in Minneapolis. Not a huge influx of immigrants like New York, but not insignificant either. If you are talking about Denver, maybe it would be like Minnesota or, maybe, a bit sooner given the proximity to the Mexico-US border..

Why don't you just call them and ask for a typical delay time? Our experience was that if you are following the law and protocol, (which is very refreshing these days) they are more than happy to help you out with information to the extent they can.

Good Luck!

I am not sure in Colorado, but if you do not change your name and it is early enough in the day (prior to 2 pm) you are sworn in the same day in Atlanta. When did you send your application in? When is your appointment for? Lately the appointments are coming very quickly. It once took almost a year to get an appointment now it takes less than three months.
