if i had 2 lbs frozen then took it out to thaw in the fridge. It thawed for 3-4 days but was mostly still frozen throughout. The outside was a brownish color. It didn't smell bad.. IS it still ok to eat?

Yes you can eat it. Sometimes light plays a part in turning the meat colors..and freezing does too. You'll know when meat isn't good to eat. It will really really smell.

I 've found that buying fresh chuck is the best for making hamburgers and often make up the patties and freeze them with separators between the the patties so you just use what you want. Go buy the smell not the color. Buy it from a good meat market, not in the darn tubes, and it'll be fresher. There's a lot of butcher and cooking tricks that are used with ground beef.

Yes, if it did not smell was still slightly froze it is safe. The light from your fridge will turn the meat brownish as the blood drips to the bottom of the pack!!

I think it will be fine.

I hate touching brown hamburger mean though.

I'm not sure why. I have no problems with fresh red meat.
