Yorkies are great dogs! The breed that is right for you depends on your personality. Yorkies are terriers so they are a little high strung, like to bark, have long hair that needs to be brushed daily. They love their owners. They need to be exercised daily just as any dog does. So it really depends on what you are looking for in a dog.

I have a yorkshire terrier and she is so sweet. She is the cutest thing on earth! You need to know that yorkies (or known as yorkshire terrier, a shorter version) are lap dogs. They are sweet but my dog loves sleeping! She isnt so active, if you are looking for a fun dog to play with, get a boy. Boys are more active for some reason... But you never know! :) I suggest yorkies but i seem to know this but since they are small they get more sick then big dogs.... Make sure you know you are ready to get the dog becasue it is harder then it looks!!

I have a 12 week old yorkie that is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! They are really easy going dogs, despite all I heard about them being moody. I would only tell you to check with local breeders. They can be such a great experience! I got to meet the owners, see the parents, see the house and where the puppies where kept, and so on to make sure the one you bring home is healthy and well adjusted. Plus I found that they are usually a bit cheaper. I found my full-blooded registered pup in my hometown for a fraction of the price they are selling for online.

ewwww no offense, but I have one and he's spoiled as all heck. If you dont mind a dog that sulks, throws a fit, and trys to bite you everytime you punish it for peeing in the house when he's 7 YEARS OLD, then thats the dog for you. However, you might want to think corgi, or something that doesn't have so much attitude.
Little dogs tend to literally dominate their owners, which I hate so much. 85% of the yorkies I've delt with have been AWFUL dogs. Not to burst your bubble. Sorry for the negative answer.

Yorke's are very high maintenance dogs and they are very hyper.they are also not very good at potty training,if you love that breed be prepared to do a lot of work.

yes they are so tame and they dont bark a lot and they love attention but they have bad backs other wise get one.

pure breads are great so are yockshires but they are less heathy and have less personality then muts well actually there is no way to prove that its just my oppinion
