I am 19 years old. I weight 106.4 and i'm 5' 6" i'm also a female. I would like to know if I should gain weight. I'm afraid to because all my friends say I should but they are all bigger. Are they just saying that so I will weigh the same as them or do they actually care? I'm not anorexic i just have a really good Metabolism. Let me know what you think.

I'm 5'6" too and weight 118 lbs. However, my fat percentage is around 21%. I am not satisfied with it but it's improving.

It all depends on what you want to do... you might want to consider putting on some *muscle*. Gaining weight per se doesn't make sense, unless the weight you put on is healthy (ie muscle).

Good luck!

PS: yes many plumpy persons go on trying to make others fatten up.. I don't know why but it happens to me too (and my BMI is 19.1, so it's normal, and I eat 2,000 calories a day so my metabolism is fast).

If you are healthy, then you are fine just as you are.
