Belief in Jesus is a matter of faith. It seems that some of us need to have a faith that providence is looking out for us.
If we live by Jesus' example, then even if he does not existing and never existed we still lived worthwhile lives. Also I firmly believe it is better to be innocent than sorry. Having committed an act that cannot be reversed must be one of the bitterests regrets to live with.

I've seen too much proof for Jesus to be wrong.
Hypothetically, if I am and live a life filled with happiness and peace due to my beliefs is that not good? Peace :-)
