i was taking prilosec till my insurance wouldn't pay for it anymore;and went on ranididine it's the same to me if not better.since I've been on i.;Ive had no more heartburns or food coming up my throat and that's a winner in my book.....

Well protonix is the strongest and it starts working faster than the other two. Prilosec seems to take forever for it to start working and ranididine does work well but not as well as protonix.

ranitidine has been around longer than the other two, but as your previous answerer said protonix is best

Always go with a generic.... and you may find Tums or any generic on that one just as effective, depending upon the amount of acid reflux you have..
