Have you come in a place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you die today you will go to heaven?,
or is it something you would say you're still working on?.....

Such a powerful question. My husband passed in April and I have had to take a long hard look at my own salvation. And yes, I have come to that place where I know for sure that I am saved. It's really not about me. It is really about what Christ did. He is saving all who believe in Him. There isnt anything I can do to work for salvation. He gives it to me (us). When you see others working their hearts out for God, it's their response to God's gift, not their work for heaven. God examines our hearts. We can't work to be a good Christian. We either are or we arent. My sweet husband used to say that Christ died for us and our response to his sacrifice is how we live our lives. He loved us and our love for Him just pours out of us because we do have that hope of heaven. Read Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis. Be blessed! Janie

I do not want to go to Heaven. When you think of spending all eternity somewhere, you had better think about the company you will keep and the sort of conversations you will be able to have. Consider who is there, and the choice is easy. Hell may be too hot for comfort but at least you need not be bored to death. Look at this contrast:

Heaven:

Billy Graham
Mother Teresa
Jerry Falwell
Tammy Bakker
The Pope
Pat Robertson

Hell:

Socrates
Anne Frank
Albert Einstein
Carl Sagan
Isaac Asimov
Richard Dawkins
Sam Harris

Now, be honest. Which group would you prefer to spend those long endless days chatting with?

I am certain I am not going to the heaven made up by today's world religions, and pretty sure I am not going to any heaven at all...

But, who knows. Maybe when I leave this earth, all the logic I tried to apply to questions like this will become irrelevant and there's some new chunk of enjoyable existance waiting out there for me...

Or maybe i'll just lose my sense of consiousness and slip out of existance, and all that will be left is the stone-cold reality that all the evidence I can gather has lead me to believe in.

All I can do is have some hope.

I see absolutely no evidence whatsoever that there is a "heaven", and I seriously doubt there is anything at all after death. I'm a nice guy, though, and if I'm wrong I'll just say sorry, and ask to be "judged" on my deeds rather than whether I chanted the right incantations and wore the right kind of hat during my brief time on the planet.

I die everyday and everyday "heaven" is strengthened in my soul. So if this mortal body decides to "die" or if the trumpet call of the rapture takes place - then I will definitely, of a certainty go to heaven. I can say this of a certainty because of the living, blood-covenant Christ that lives in me. Because of this relationship, I will be with Him when He calls me - whether by way of the grave or way of the rapture of the Church.

I do not desire to go to heaven, I prefer to attain buddhahood if I can.

BTW you really can't run a diagnosis without a past history first, then there's the need for diagnostic imaging... depending on the chief complaint...

I view *heaven* as all my molecules (the matter that is me) going back to all that is. So I think we all go back to the source from whence we came. It's not something you work toward or hope for - it's just the nature of things.

I think you've incorrectly written the question. It should have been: -- Die Agnostic: question No.1

There is no heaven.

When I die, I will go and get another body and start all over again. If you think that is Hell, you are right. Its also Earth.
