That's a long time.......you may want to take her to a vet to get her checked out........she may have one caught up in there.

many ppl will prob yell at u and tell u 2 take ur dog 2 the vet, but i actually took notice of ur question stating that u r just curious and its just a question. the answer is no... a dog cant have pups 24 hrs apart. if it did, it would mean that the owner was very irrisponsible and that the mum and pups would probably die. if a dog were in labour for that long, it would mean that a pup was stuck in the birth conal and the mum would need an emergancy c-section. the pup who was stuck would die and so would the pups still in the womb waiting to come out as when the mum goes into labour, their amniotic fluid drains and the new ones get prepared to start breathing oxygen. as they would be getting no oxygen, they would suffocate. if the mum didnt die from this, she would have some serious damage to her hips and internally. i hope this answers ur query!
ps- this was in answer to ur question "possible to give birth to puppies 24 or more hrs apart' - a dog CAN be in labour for 24 hrs, giving birth a few hrs apart, but not be in labour and give birth to 1, then not give birth to any other for a whole 24 hrs...

Unusual....yes. Impossible...no. As long as the umbilical cord is attached, the later pup will survive until labor resumes. It can be a long process with a large litter, but most dogs only "rest" 1-2 hours between labor sessions.

yes, when my dog had her pups I did a lot of extra research. I found that they can be in labor for more then one day. When my doy started her labor it was like 6am in the morning. She didn't finish til like 4 or 5 pm that day, so it can take long time. I guess it depends on the health shape of the dog.

Yep. Up to 48 hours, like my dog was. Had her puppies like every 2 to 4 hours, over 2 days.

Yes it is, but if a dog is in labor this long you should get it to a vet ASAP as the pups could be dead or breech. It could be life threatening for your dog .

not without medical intervention, get her to the animal ER now. the puppy that hasn't come out yet is more than likely dead, and if it stays in there then it can become toxic and kill the mother.
