not everybody of the "authentic faith" gets into heaven Matthew 7:21, secondly a guy or woman who incredibly study God's be conscious for themselves could be conscious of which faith is authentic and which at the instant are not. hint: they could shop on with each and all of the Bible not in basic terms the climate that are handy. third, for each actual greenback available there could be one hundred different forms of fakes. Jesus got here to instruct us the reality, not with regard to the 1000's of different "fakes" available. Fourth, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit incredibly did create the earth in seven literal days, see 2 Timothy 3:sixteen,17 and John a million:a million-3. (Created the earth in seven days not the completed universe) to assert something is to declare that the completed Bible is hogwash, you are able to not p.c.. and choose which "truths" to have faith out of the Bible and which of them to not. to eliminate the literal advent week is to eliminate the value of the Sabbath day and that's merely why devil presented us to an concept of evolution! whilst nature does carry out a little evolving there at the instant are not any cases the place one species replaced into an completely different species! next, the lifeless are of their graves the place we placed them to anticipate the 2nd coming of the Lord. no person is already in heaven or hell!

Ah a soul to my own heart. You are right of course, the god squad get everywhere, on our streets, at our doorsteps, touting their dubious wares in our towns, how can we be free of them? I didn't think I would find them in Q and A excepting of course for in the religion section, but oh I was wrong, they infiltrate every section, I've even found them amongst the jokes and riddles, where does it end? Who are these thumping godists? They're not Jews, Jews would not impose themselves on people in that way. It's not Muslims they're too busy trying to blow us up. No it's Christians, they're the culprits. I wouldn't mind but they stole the Jewish Torah, added a bit on and said it was theirs, once they'd translated it out of all recognition to suit their own beliefs, thereby rendering it a mere fairy tale. They might as well just read The Brothers Grimm and be done with it.

I think because religion is such a personal steadfast belief in people....."everyone needs saved" and other religious agendas are forwarded thru "bible thumpers" (which as the last answerer said i think you mean thumper instead of basher) who try to bring more people in to their group by being very damning... literally!
to people who do not believe as they do.

So wait. You come into an area labelled RELIGION and Spirituality. Yes that would be RELIGION and spirituality.... religions being known to use the Koran and the Bible to explain their beliefs ... but you are against them using these books to answer the questions posed?
You're here because you choose to be. You PARTICIPATE because you choose to. How exactly is that "ramming religion down yer throat"??? Isn't that kind of like overweight people suing McDonald's because the Big Macs they keep eating are making them that way?
Out of curiosity, are you opposed to the lengthy quotes posted by Atheists and Evolutionts from secular sources to support their theories?
OH and btw that would be bibleTHUMPERS, thank you. You, sir, are the one doing the bashing.

It is the Spiritual duty of every Christian to proclaim the Good News. If someone wants to know the answer to a religious question then let them speak and ask it, We are all here to interact and help each other and some may feel that this is the only platform open to them. If you think you have no interest in 'Religion & Spirituality ', There are plenty of other topics on offer!!

"Why would Christians have the audacity to answer a question about God, Jesus or Christianity... How DARE we answer what we know about."
That's not what was said. To clarify I believe the complaint was with people giving long quotes from the bible (and other religious books) instead of answering their own words.
I have to agree with this, as I now ignore answers that consist entirely of old quotes. They are rarely good answers and often completely irrelevant.

Quote something back at them, hon.
I suggest Matthew 10:14
That said, it's perfectly apropriate for them to quote scripture on questions about scripture, or the bible, or Christianity.
Agreed, it's not appriprate for them to do so on questions about Buddhism, or Hinduism, or Pagansim, or Taoism, and so on.
But this is a public forum, and to be fair, folks jump onto questions about scripture to share their opinions about it being nonsense, so it seems to be pretty universal.

Yeah, Matthew 10:14 is pretty good:
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."
But I think I like Matthew 10:15 better:
"Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city."
And we all know what happened to Sodom and Gomorrha (Genesis 19:24-25):
"Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground."
Persistent Christian bashers should be banned from Y!A, eh?

no offence but why is it that when God and spirituality is mentioned, and scripture is quoted, people are accused of "ramming religion down people's throat"? Surely you must understand that in order to answer a question on God or Jesus, we must refer to the Bible, because it is from there that we get to know who God and Jesus are. To NOT quote the Bible would be to answer the question without any factual basis. That doesnt mean we are ramming anything down anyone's throat.
Actually your question reminded me of another poster who complained that the season of Christmas had no meaning to her, and yet she said that she didnt want anyone to start ramming Jesus and God down her throat. How funny is that? She voluntarily chose to ignore the original true meaning of CHRIST'smas (whether she liked it or not, the original meaning of hristmas is abot the birth of Christ), and yet had the nerve to complain about its triviality having removed it of all meaning. i thought that was pretty daft. Of course it has no meaning if you remove the meaning!!! Its all about mince pies and alcohol!!
