in my state unless you have a dealers license you must pay sales tax and title the car in your name before you can resell it. you would have to be able to buy a vehicle off eBay for considerably less than its worth to make a profit on resale after paying for tax and registration

I think it works the other way around. EBay has a much wider reach then a local paper. A good way to make some money on a car that brings a lot more money on eBay is the Mercedes diesels Even with a ton of miles on them they bring a lot more $ on eBay the around here Good luck

If you win a car on Ebay, that means that you have paid more than anybody else was willing to pay for that car, right?

Unless it is a local car, you have not driven it, or sat in it, or smelled it. When you pick it up, you may have less car than you thought.

There are a lot of people who don't do Ebay, so you may luck into something, but if I were you, I would only bid on cars in my area that I can go and drive before bidding.

Yes ..... at a Loss 75% of the time.

Odd's are better if you have a game plan. Like One or 2 Models and thats it. You'll stumble on others as it goes. Always have one for yourself to drive to prove you like it that much and sell it and get another one. OR

If you don't specialize in one or two types of cars or trucks you'd be better off buying local cars, cleaning and repairing them and selling them on ebay, it changes the Shipping around to the Buyer. If you can keep shipping out of the picture for your profit margain you'll make it.

Good luck....

at the beginning in no way purchase a automobile unseen except that is in basic terms funds you may locate the funds for to throw out the window! I even have offered 3 automobiles off of e-bay all sight unseen. yet once you're in basic terms paying six hundred funds what do you assume. I even have been pleased with the deals via the way. So once you seek e-bay variety via distance. for 2 motives: a million. so which you would be able to flow look at it. 2. So transport fees do no longer break the deal. One automobile i offered develop into much less then one hundred miles away, and it develop into no longer working. To get it introduced might have cost yet another 3 hundred funds. So until now I bid, I made particular I had a thank you to get it to me that i ought to locate the funds for. no person grants automobiles for unfastened, transport fees are excluded. some "large deals" even have some words of sale that could desire to be met. which includes charge in maximum of days, %. up in maximum of days, and a real deal buster extra coping with costs that could desire to be paid. study the completed merchandise itemizing, look for "hidden expenses" and different products that may turn the deal bitter. continuously remember, procuring a automobile at public sale is a sport, do no longer gamble greater then you particularly can unfastened. in case you won't be able to locate the funds for to unfastened, do no longer play the sport!
