I was invited to see Frank Santos, the r rated hypnotist? i would like to be one of the subjects hypnotized....BUT I have Epilepsy (Grand Mal). Should I reconsider? Does anyone know if Mind control, such as being hypnotized can cause a seizure or something?

The act of hypnotising anyone has never in history been associated with causing seizures. I use hypnotism in my practice as does some of the other medicos in the clinic. We have people who are epileptics, Grand, mal petit mal and none who have had this therapy have ever thrown a seizure.

Some epileptics are diffidcult to hypnotize anyway, they have short attention spans and are not always good subjects.
But give it a try the relaxation experience will be good for you.

However,If its the sort of hypnotism that gets you to do stupiod things then back out. You don't need to make a fool of your self for the entertainment of others

I don't think being hypnotized will trigger it, but having a seizure while under would definitely be something to consider. Maybe you should ask the hynotist to see what he thinks of the situation.

I can't imagine how being hypnotized could trigger this. Even if they were able to genuinely hypnotize you.

well you shouln;t be getting any if your taking ur medication right. BUt if your not I suggest you dont get hypnotized....its a small risk your taking but it could lead to serious problems. BUt whatever you choose to do just be careful....and make sure your taking your medication.
