Valerian root for cats....?

My cat absolutely freaks out when she smells valerian root or valerian scented cat toys, much more than even catnip. I've never seen anything like it. Does anybody else's cat freak out with valerian?

Yes, our cats LOVE Valerian root! They go nuts and play with the container or sack the VR came in....it is not harmful.

my cats freak out at the smell of tea bags and when i use bengay on my muscles i believe it is the eucalyptus smell or the menthol
