Mom & dad live on social security. Dad's share is about 2/3 of their income. Will the nursing home take all of dad's social security share? Mom wouldn't be left with enough money to live on. Do they take the house from the "remaining" spouse?

My heart goes out to U & them. I'm on disability my self. But right now U need 2 relax. There R programs out there for this. Run Google . Go here 1st http://www.socialsecurity.gov/. Then Ur search government grants. I've been looking in to the government grants myself. It's time consuming but is worth it. Also look in to state funded grants too. However by the the fact about the Alzheimer's, their age etc. they will qualify 4 a lot of things. Just start from the site I sent U . Hope this helps or gives U something 2 think about.
