There are so many religions out there, why do you think your's is the true one? Jesus was Jewish after all. This goes for all other religions as well. Religion was only started to bring people together under a community and try to explain the world, which science can do now. Why would "God" make little beings in his own image just so he could have them worship him? Sounds pretty sick if you ask me. Also, why would God, when he made the world, put out evidence of evolution if that isn't really what happened?

It's so sad to see all theese people blindly put their faith in something as fictional as religion. There is no evidence of God on this earth, so why would a great "God" hold us accountable to accept something based on pure assumptions. All of what you practice and follow was made up by some people way back when. Who are they to decide what God wants?

I meant wake up as a metaphorical term, smart ones.

Yahoo Answers is far too uneducated for me to even try to logically discuss this.

The truth is hilarious isn't it? I came here with an open mind.... about 6 months ago. Yahoo answers isn't new to me. I know it's full of people who just give halfwit, smarta** remarks. By the way, I'm 16, so fairly uneducated, but I don't study and am 15th in class rank.

Wolfeblayde (again):

OK, educated was a bad word. I meant more along the lines of intellect.

I just don't like how so few have something constructive to say. "Keep your stupid opinions to yourself" bla bla bla is all I get. I understand I do have a long way to go until I am educated to an extent I can say so. Let's just leave at this.

(See, even non-religionists(?) can respect their enemies)

"Yahoo Answers is far too uneducated for me to even try to logically discuss this."

Good one -- that's the best laugh I've had all day. I was always taught that an open-minded approach to the unknown was one of the hallmarks of an intelligent, well-educated person. The ability to consider other ideas and opinions besides your own was also on that list.

Your use of sweeping generalizations ("no evidence of God on this earth") and questionable logic ("try to explain the world, which science can now do") makes me question how educated *you* really are. And that's to say nothing of your close-mindedness!

So try to wake up and think outside the narrow little box of your own opinions before you accuse anyone else of being uneducated.

Edit:

"Truth"? Thanks. . .that was the second best laugh of the day. I'm so glad to know that you have the ultimate say on what constitutes truth or not.

And while we're on the subject of educational credentials, I have a Master's Degree which I earned with a straight A average. You have a long way to go in your own schooling before you earn the right to call anyone else uneducated, my friend.

Edit #2:

You aren't my enemy, and I never thought of you in those terms. Nor was I implying any lack of intelligence on your part. Speaking from many years of experience, I *can* tell you that the world is a lot more interesting if you keep an open mind to all the possibilities.

And we can certainly agree to disagree on this issue.

I wonder where you got the information you base your beliefs on. It is clear to anyone that knows Christianity you have made several errors in thinking.
The one thing that I will point out to help you see what direction I'm trying to show you is this: you wrote "why would God, when He made the world, put out evidence of evolution.."
This shows me (and anyone) that you have listened only to what man has said about evolution. Fact is, there IS NO evidence.
Oh, the scientists can spin a pretty convincing story, but that's about all it is...just a story to back up what THEY want to believe...that there isn't a God.

And it isn't blind faith. Any thinking Christian or Jew's faith rests on facts.

Well, as the real answer is lacking, I'll tell you. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). That is clear, is it not? Jesus said that He is the only way to salvation from sins and into heaven. The one who is a Christian is one who has decided that Christ is correct and the rest are wrong.
Now, the above answerers like to think of the Bible as fairy tales (or worse) but those who trust it have studied it and found it very reliable (unlike, say, the Quran or Bhagavad Gita.) So when Jesus says "No one," we believe Him. That is why we think ours is the true one (and all others are false.) I'm sorry this offends you, but there's your answer.

You are partly right. There is no evidence one way or another.
Religion was invented to control sex and violence or so some people believe. On the other hand we humans need to have some faith in providence.
Luckily for you belief in any religious system is not compulsory so you are free to ignore it. I know sometimes that is not possible but I sleep better knowing I may believe what I want how I want it and practice my faith in peace.

Yes, believers and non-believers among mankind should wake up. Why we keep on fortifying the walls of our groups while all geographycal, cultural, intellectual barriers have fallen before the new trends of human activities.
Yes, let us wake up to recognize and love our human brothers and sisters, then joining hands to build a better world for ourselves and for our offsprings.

Religion has always been corrupted by the greedy who twist it to their own ends. Many people of many different religions believe that theirs is the true and superior path, not just Christians. And not all Christians are like this either.

You wanna believe in a big bang from nothingness, go for it. You need to learn tolerance and leave others to what we believe. I've never tried to convince an atheist to convert, so leave us alone and go back under your rock.

After much research and proof, I found Christianity to be the right religion for me. What you follow I don't care but what type of person are you to put another down for their beliefs? You might want to double check your beliefs as you don't sound secure in your beliefs.

Simple - Who would follow a religion that they did not think was the true one???

No one here is here by blind faith son, we have taken our knocks and will continue to do so. The thing is, no way will you change how we believe. You seriously think we would want to be like you???
