I have a husband who I love to death and we have our own place. But since I quit my job a month ago, I moved back in with my parents. I lost weight, can't sleep and my parents have to take care of me because I can't do it on my own. I'm worried that if I can't get out of my depression soon, I will lose my husband. Please help! I dont' know what to do.

Hi,
My name is Alex and I can relate to you in a lot of ways. I think depression is only in our heads, and the real reason why we feel this way is because WE expect ourselves to be perfect and do all these great stuff. No one is perfect, you know and I think part of why you are depressed is because you quit your job that may have something to do with it. What I would do is spend time with your family and talk to them about it, they all love and will support you. Don't let this beat you, because it might get worse. Never Quit, because there's people who love you, and your husband needs to care and look for you especially now that you really need him. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but you need to realize that its not your fault. It's like that song from Martina McBride: God is great, but sometimes life ain't great. We only get one life, spend it well with the ones you love and make each day memorable. Walk with your head up high and be strong. Look for God and dig deep inside yourself and you will find happiness. You know, just spend time with your family and everything will be well. I really hope my advice helps you, if you have any questions I'll be one message away. Remember we can't be perfect, JUST ENJOY LIFE GIRL!
Your friend,
Alex

Changes in your life can defiantly affect you both mentally and physically. Depression is a physical illness and can be treated with medication as well as counselling if needed. I strongly urge you to seek medical help, you will be surprised at how much better you can feel and how much happier your family will be. Trust me I have been there, most people have, and there is no shame in admitting that you need help. Best wishes.

Have you seen a doctor? A general MD can make a diagnosis, prescribe antidepressants, and refer you for therapy or to a psychiatrist, if necessary.

Your parents are being good to you, but you do need a medical professional.

Do see a doctor...I'm not one and you're unlikely to find one here.

That said, having been there, excercise was the single best thing that made me feel better. Anything from walking on up.If you sit around because you feel bad you will just feel worse.

You need to see your doctor for treatment. Depression is treatable but only if you go to the doc to get help. See your doc and get this under control.

go to tanning beds, I know sounds obsurd but someone told me to do it for my depression, and it seems to work. Also, take vitamin D everyday, and niacin.
