I saved a stray kitten from the road side 1-2 months ago. Now its about 3months old. It has a very bad habit of biting and clawing my feet every time i was around her. Are stray kitten that fierce? Or is it just her.

She has tons of toys to play with. But still she likes to prounce on me and bite my feet when im around. Guess most kittens are like that. I have to give her more time to be more friendly to me. Thanks to all for sharing your answers. =)

It depends on the cat, if she had a home before, what your house is like( calm peacefull or chaotic w/ little kids running around maybe?) I would tell her no and squirt water on her just to let her no thats not ok, but dont yell at her either or soak her. Stray kittens usually have a harder time adjusting then kittens you got from a friend or somewhere else. Hope This Helps and Good Luck!!!!!!
Also, thanks for rescuing a stray =)
Also, be sure that you are giving her enough attention and playing w/ her a lot, but not w/ string. Buy some safe kitten toys if you haven't already and play!!! My cat scratches at my legs when she wants to be held!

Yes, it is just being playful. As it gets older it will calm down, unless it is an outside and inside cat. I have 4 cats, 3 of which are out and in cats, and the other is a stray kitten that we found 4 or 5 months ago. You just need to make that he/she knows how to use the litterbox now, because later on it will be difficult to get her to change her ways if she is missing the litterbox and accidentally peeing on the ground.

Most of the cats ive ever owned have been strays. it sounds to me like shes just being a playful kitten. They love to bite and jump at everything that moves. Just be patient with her and she will grow out of it. Before you know it, she will be just lying around the house and calm as she can be. Enjoy your kitten!

My friend saved 3 kittens and their mom and the mom was very sweet to everyone but the kittens were too scared to be around people. It took them close to 6 months before they would be sweet to the person that fed them. They are over two years now and they still shy away from everyone except the person that feeds them. Get her plenty of toys and give her lots of love.

i have had my cat for almost 11 years now, she was a real crazy kitten, she'd bite at my feet under the covers, chase after you down the hall(s), look like she wanted to jump on your head, after about 6 months to a year old, she out grew almost completely these habits, your cat is just being a kitten

lol Sounds like just ordinary kitten behavior to me. I've never had a kitten who didn't attack my feet at least 10 times a day. Usually they stop doing that on their own sometime after 5 mo. of age. Just bear with her and try to make a game out of it. That's all they really want is to play.

Kittens are like that. I've had three different cats. Every one would exhibit the same behavior of attacking my ankles or feet as i was walking down the hall. They just want to play.

Not really cats do what they want stray or otherwise. They know where they get food and a dry place to sleep

that is normal cat behaviour
get it fixed or she will start meauwing all over the place and produce more kittens
if it is a male it will end up peeing in your shoes or on your pillow to mark its territory.
