This is a frequently asked question and the usual and best answer is, believe it or not, peanut butter. Grab a large amount and rub it into the gum, rubbing for several minutes. It will come right out! The combination of the oil and the grainy texture is perfect!

P.S. -- Looking at your caricature above, you are definitely not be the one with the problem, huh?

Best way is not to put it in in the first place! Okay, seriously, I know this sounds f'n weird, but peanut butter gets it out. I don't know why. It's some kind of weird chemical reaction, I guess. My daughter's kindergarten teacher turned me on to it years ago. Works every time!

I have a friend who has used Goo Gone before to remove gum from hair. Its a citrus based solution that works on many materials.

Rub a dab of mayonnaise in your hair where the gum is and after working it through a bit, it should slide off easily.

Try getting an ice cube out of your refrigerator, rub the ice cube over the gum, it will loosen the gum, and remove it easily.
Good luck!

Peanut butter works, just put it around the area and slowly peel it out.
