I've been in this situation (only difference is i'm a guy and i liked a girl w/ a bf, and i have been the guy in this situation). Yeah, you should go out. Just don't tell him to break up w/ her or he'll get the impression that you're mean. I miss these situations with me, they make my life exciting and fun. Don't try anything romantic tho until he breaks up w/ the girl.... that would really be mean to both him and the girl because the girl would go psyco on him (i know; it's happened to me). Well, actually it depends on the girl.

If he's still w/ her in a week don't keep trying: he's a player.

It wasn't stupid of you to ask him out. But it seems like he's not ready or doesn't know what to do either. You guys are apparently too young to be going out and stuff. You don't even know what to do. I've been there, done that and wish I had waited until I was more mature and had an idea what I was doing. Don't rush this stuff. You'll be proud of yourself in the long run if you don't.

It wasn't silly to ask him out as you didn't know he had a girlfriend at that time. But only go out with him if he breaks up with his girlfriend. Of course watch carefully how he treats his current girlfriend. Because if he cheats on her by going out with you. Or if he dumps her for you... then don't be surprised later when you are his girlfriend and he cheats on you or dumps you for another girl. (That's not to say he can't let her down easy. But make sure you wait till that is over).

All the best.

It all depends on how quickly you told him you like him and when you asked him out.
You'd usually want to wait a while before you ask him out. It might seems all too spontaneous to him, and it might freak him out...
I would just wait until he breaks up w/ the girl he's with... then after a little while (not too long!!!) make your move.

Good luck!!!

Why dont you just try dating him first if he breaks up with his girlfriend. But dont go with him if he still has a girl, cause if he cheats with you then he'll cheat on you. But just try going to the movies or talking walks before you skip that pond and jump right into "Going Steady Lake".

Good luck!

you should take your mind off him. Maybe there is someone else you could like. Maybe he just doesn't trust you. And I'm sorry to hear that.
