I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom. Did she have an autopsy? Did you see the report? If you have any suspicions, I would seriously talk to the police if you haven't already. Do it for your mom. If it comes back that she did have a heart attack, great, then you can move on. But if you don't look into this, you are going to bothered by this forever. Best of luck to you.

There will be a death certificate signed by a doctor so get a copy of that and see what itsays. Just be aware people drop dead all the time with heart attacks not even knowing they had heart problems. The certificate may clear it up.

I am very sorry to hear of this. You can request a death certificate from the county courthouse in which she resided in at the time of her death or from the capital of the state she lived in. Once you have that there will be a listed cause of death.
I know it is hard, my father passed away from a heart attack also. One day he was here talking to me and the next day he was just gone. It's hard to understand how time just ends one day.

Did some doctor verify her death and what caused it?
In case she has not been incinerated, you can talk to a lawyer and see the possibility of an autopsy.
In case her boyfriend insisted on incinerating her the case would be more suspicious.
Did her boyfriend benefit from her death ? I mean was there some type of insurance with him as beneficiary? or maybe a house, bank account or any other benefit on his favor?.

yeah, Heart attacks are rather common and can be quite quick. My brother in law spoke with his brother in the morning, was dead by 1230 noon from a heart attack.
