you should eat healthy, drink a lot of water, and exercise. weight at your age has nothing to do with looks (it actually never does). a woman that weighs more can have a much nicer body than a woman that weighs less; which is to say, the most important thing is a healthy body. do push-ups, sit-ups, drink milk, and run (but no more than fifteen minutes or so), and you will either gain weight or lose it, but you will surely have a nicer body!

First of all, sweetie, 12 is NOT a teenager. Your still a child. And second, 80 pounds is severely under weight. I know you look up to Paris HIlton and Nicole Ricci. But keep in mind they both suffer from drug addictions to heroin and cocaine. These are not role models. Being healthy is the most attractive thing you can be. And at such a tender age, excessive diet can prevent you from having a normal period, having children later, developing breasts, maintaining a healthy immune system, growing a normal head of hair and so on. At this point in life, you should be focused on school and enjoying being a child. There is not many things FUN about being an adult (belive it or not) and the few things that are fun are only enjoyable if you have your health. Don't be so typical.

Sweety you are in a growing stage you need to eat to grow if you don't you will not get all the nutrients that you need and will start getting some complications, you won't weigh 79 pounds for ever ok unless you plan to be a kid for ever, however if you plan to be or turn into a healthy adolescent then you need to take care of your health. Eating healthy, and taking care of yourself doesn't mean starving yourself. Plus if you want to be actively exercising you will need to eat because of the calories you will be loosing besides the ones you already are since your metabolism should be running fast because you are barely starting to be a teenager, eat or you'll faint and you won't be looking all nice and toned up but way too skinny and anorexic looking like your doctor already says you look.

Honey... You're 12, your body is growing. You will gain weight, but you will also get taller. Don't worry about a pound, no one will ever notice. If you want to be healthy eat 3 healthy meals a day and walk around the block or ride a bicycle. But do not freak every time you gain a pound.

Well you shouldn't be that concerned about gaining just one pound but unfortunately that one pound could turn in to 5 lbs then 20lbs and so forth.

If I were you, I would try to wear loose fitted clothes. Such as big sweaters or long blouses. You shouldn't wear baby tees or very tight clothes. It'll make it look more noticeable.

if you want to lose weight just simply cut whatever you are used to eating in half. Try that for about a week. That should do the trick.

Nobody is going to notice one pound or probably even five pounds. If you want to look trim stand up straight. A little will not hurt you.

I shouldn't be saying things like this to a twelve year old(it seems kinda creepy from a man almost three times your age). Listen boys will like your figure if you have a little weight. It will provide the feminie curves, like in the hip, butt and breast area. Trust me you'll appreciate this advice when you are older.

If you are twelve and gaining a pound, its no big deal because you are delovloping, or gaining muscle. If you want to stay fit, try running and biking. Crunches work so do sit ups. Don't worry about it.

What?! You should be gaining a lot more than that at your age. Don't try to shed pounds, you're growing. Once you get to be 16 or 17, then start watching what you eat. You don't need to worry about that now. Just stick to a healthy, well-balanced diet.

Trust me, your weight obsession isn't worth it. I was borderline anorexic for most of junior high and part of high school until I realized I could eat 3,000 calories a day and still be a size 6. Chances are if you are that skinny you already have a fast metabolism and you don't need to worry about losing weight...ever.
