hey girls, i need some help! well i have to go to the doctor on the 14th to get on the pill well, normally when a girl gets on the pill she gets a check up be4 like a papsmir srry i dont really know how to spell it but sher u know what im talking about rit!? well would they be able to know if i was pregnate when they do that and also if i was,,, would it kill my baby??

if you have ANY reason to think you might be pregnant you MUST tell the doctor before he begins the exam. don't be afraid -- the doctor is there to help you and can NOT tell anyone besides YOU about your exam results. be honest for your own good and ask him about any concerns you may have about your body and sexual activity.

im not a lady BUT my ex wife has had 3 children and ive been through all of these incidents --- why do you think you are pregnant?? the doctor will do a check up and part of that should be a pregnancy test especially if you tell them you may be and why.
a pap smear only takes a sample from the edge so is not too invasive so it should not affect any baby ---- a pregnancy is actually pretty tough --- if it wasnt why is there all of these problems with abortion if it was so easy????

If you go to an experienced Doctor, they should be able to tell if you`re pregant, during that exzam. Your cervex changes it`s appearance during a pregancy. If you are worried about the baby`s health during your exzam. PLEASE express your fears with your Dr. before the exzam. That way she will be able to answer questions. So you`ll feel more confortable, during the proceedure. Sorry for my terrible spelling....... You do want to let your Dr. know you think you "might be" pregant. Because going on the pill and be pregant, could hurt the baby.......

you NEED to tell your doctor at that time, you need a pregnancy test. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you think there is a chance then ask.
Also, have them run a full panel STD test on you.
WHAT THE HELL are you having unprotected sex for.
If you are lucky the ONLY thing you will get is pregnant!
And no, a GYN visit and simple insert of the speculum will not injure a baby on board.

No, a pap smear will not harm your baby.
Depending on how far along you are, they can tell if you are pregnant by the size of your uterus.
Also they can do a lab test (usually with urine) to know for sure if you are pregnant.

they should take a urine sample to determine pregnancy, if they don't request one......a pap smear will not hurt a baby because it is further up inside you
