My employer still hasn't sent me the normal end-of-year tax summary. Does the government send it, or is it the employer who is responsible? I'm not really itching to do my taxes, just curious.

The employer will send it to you. W2 forms are due in the mail today so you should get them in a couple of days. I got my W2s today and have been getting 1099s and 1098s for the past couple of weeks.

Yes, its required by law for your employer to mail you your W2. The deadline is really January 31 (today). I would wait about another week or so & if you dont have by then, call your Human Resources Dept & ask.

Yes, your employer has to send your earnings statement to you if you made over a certain amount of money in the taxable year ( I THINK the min. is less than $1,000).
The statement must be postmarked no later than Jan. 31st.
Don't worry, I haven't received my husband's either. They wait until the last day every year.
