Yes I support all military men and women. Especially my husband. I am surrounded by military members both family and friends and I think that more people that do support our troops need to voice it to drown out all the ignorant people that have no idea what they are talking about but seem to have the most to say when it comes to our troops. Which is usually negative. Our troops need to know that the crap that the media shows from those people is not how the majority of Americans feel and that they are being supported. So they need to just ignore all the rest and keep their heads up and stay focused and safe so they can get the job done and come home.

Yes, I support our troops, if they are fighting for a good cause or a good reason. Dar 4 is a good reason, just like WW2. If you ask me WW2 was the only war besides the Civil War and the Revolutionary Wars that were worth fighting.
By the way read the truth about Vietnam and you will know why people were opposed. We should not have even been there. There are Nam Vets that couldn't live with them selves if they thought that they were there killing all of those people when they shouldn't have been.
I will not say that I support our governments ignorant decisions.

99% of americans support the troops. Newsflash, you don't have to support the war to support the troops. I am a veteran and I am against the war and I have many friends serving and have died for our country, so yes, always support the troops. Again, you can hate Bush's war and still support the troops.

Yes I do. By the time the 50's rolled around people had forgotten hard times and wanted to just sit on there butts and make babies; this has only gotten worse as 2010 approaches. Ask any liberal and they will tell you that somebody else owes them a living (and unfortunately we are raising a bunch of liberals). They will also tell you that if we didn't have an army we wouldn't be fighting a war. They fail to mention that in a dictatorial or theocratic government, under which would be living as a conquered nation, they would not be allowed their liberal thoughts and actions.
And by the by; wars are fought for only one core reason, economics. Many times the country under siege, like the USA, will have to fight to defend from some crazy bunch of religious zealots trying to take what we have but the root cause of those crazy zealot's fanatical leaders are wealth and power. WWI, WWII, SA War, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and this conflagration now. Also, World War II was the last true war the US fought as Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and this conflagration now have all been police actions.
Yeah, those jerks found enough patriotism to stand up to the government and spit on our troops as they returned from Vietnam, I know, I was one of the ones getting spit on by these self proclaimed patriots. Cowardly little a**holes that ran to Canada and Mexico and marched in the streets; actions that only prolonged the war and made our enemies fight harder.

Want to see how over 77,000 patriotic vets/non-vets, bikers/non-bikers show support to our troops? Go to this web site, read about the PATRIOT GUARD RIDERS, look at the photos.
Then if you REALLY want to show support to our troops, sign up. There is no membership fee, no dues, no meetings. All you have to give is a bit of your time and be willing to stand for those who have stood for us.
Then do a google.com search for the WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH or FRED PHELPS & SHIRLEY PHELPS to see how SOME are showing hatred and disrespect to our returning troops and find out how the PGR came about in response to them.
Signed: A Patriot Guard Rider who rides with honor and respect.

Yes , I did notice the very same thing . I don't think it became too noticeable until The John Kerrys and Jane Fondas began to stand with the enemy instead of their president-who by the way represents the America they live in , too .
ABSOLUTELY YES I support our troops . I thank them all for the sacrifices they make .When veterans groups have door to door pick-ups , I make it a point not to forget . Those who support our troops should not ignore those who fought before them . When you get their mailings ; do what you can . Remember them in your prayers . Remember their families . And do them all a favor-don't give aid & comfort to the enemy .

Americans have not lost their patriotism, just their naive trust in authority. We have been mislead too many times to be giddy about going to war.
Everyone supports our troops and wishes them well.
Not everyone thinks that the persons telling them to sacrifice, have a clear understanding of the situation prior to or during this war.
Blind obedience is not Patriotism

this is a fairly loaded question and i'm guessing not as simple as you might think.
there is a wide definition of what 'supporting our troops' actually means. in my eyes it means not using them as a political football, deploying them to areas where people are being oppressed (as defined by a consensus of other nations and/or the u.n.) or to nations that actually (not possibly or under certain circumstances) pose a threat to our nation's security.
i think 'support the troops' has become political speak for 'support our agenda'. and those who don't support the agenda are equated with peace-minded but often misguided war protesters of vietnam.
i support the troops by not wanting them put in harm's way to protect the business interests of a dying industry.
in my eyes i support the troops by wanting them to come home immediately. and i despise people who attach political, undefinable words like 'patriotism' to a bunch of men and women who have to do their job regardless of who profits or loses.

All these hippies are alot more trouble than they are worth.
I support our troops by supporting their mission. Let's win this! We are Americans! Land of the free and home of the brave!
These people who say "the soldiers didn't know what they were getting into" are wrong. Anyone who joined after 9-11 knew exactly why they joined. I believe these are exceptional young men and women who put "self" aside and answered a call to duty for their country when we needed them most. They are brave and courageous and willing to serve. And their service is blasphemed by the old hippies who dodged the draft or their offspring who stayed behind in this war to whine and cry like pathetic spoiled children.

Doing what you're told isn't patriotism. If our forefathers had done that, you'd be british. WW2 was a different war. The Korean War was questionable in the minds of Americans, and during Vietnam they actually found enough Patriotism to stand up to their government. Yes, I support our troops, and hope they come safely home before our insane commander in chief gets them killed for his own selfish reasons.
