well after eating nuts for a long period of time nuts become addictive because the start to give off an imaginary endorphin that makes your brain thrive without that substance, that goes the same way with anything, may it be drugs, alcohol, or even food!

Oh I just love Pumpkin seeds!! I know what you mean about them being addictive!! My all time fave is: Cashews!!! Oh, & I love Pastachio nuts too!! And um, um, Brazil nuts!! My step Grandpa is Hispanic, and he always had these little pichanio (I think thats what there called) nuts around the house....They were these little round nuts, little tiny ones, and you break them, and they had the most Awesome taste!!! I wish I knew where to buy them at?! Nuts are so healthy for you too.... Just so long as we dont comsume too many of them each day.....then they can be fatttening.....Just like anything else, I guess too much of anything isn't so good for us! But, YUMMO, in the meanwhile, right?!!! Smile!!!!

I think it's the crunch factor for most people. For others though, it's the salt. Humans need salt. So for you an "addiction" to nuts may just be a need for a high intake in salt.
