i have to get windows vista right now
i intend to get win vista home premium

i want to know if there is 2 versions, that is one which 32 bit and 64 bit

OR

is it compatible with both processors

When you buy Home Premium, the 32 bit version will come in the box. If you want the 64 bit version, you need to contact Microsoft and they will send it to you (for a small fee). As for compatibility, the 32 bit will be compatible with any processor, even a 64 bit processor. The 64 bit HAS to have a 64 bit processor.

there are two version of each OS. 32 and 64 bit. home premium seems to be the best buy for your money.
seemless transition but am having some driver issues.none of the issues are fixable at this point. nero works well.musicmatch does not work at all and i cant find a update at this time.
other then that its a great OS.kudos to microsucks

32 will run on any processor. 64 needs 64 bit processor.

you don't have to get vista, whats the compelling reason
and even if you did is your computer up to snuff for it as it has insanely steep hardware requirements, Microsoft always underrates the min requirements for all their operating systems and vista is no exception. it's a pig of an operating system for question upgrade value
