She is always tired and out of energy, and she always has dark circles under her eyes, she is always complaining about how fat she looks, even though she is a bone. She eats A LOT. Right after she eats she goes to the bathroom.
She lost tons of weight in 2 months, she went from being 95 pounds, at 4"11, to 61 pounds, at 4"11.
When I saw her in a bikini, when we had swim meet, all her bones were sticking out.
Is she anorexic, or what?!?

Anorexia is where you do not eat.
She may be Bulimic. Bulimia is where you eat, but then purge, throw up, the food that you have eaten.
I looked up both for you and also included links to articles such as "What can I do to help someone that has Bulimia?", "Why do people become Bulimic?", and "Why do people become Anorexic?"

If you think that your friend may have an eating disorder, you may want to tell your parents so that they can help you tell someone.
You may also want to go to the school counselor.
Your friend may get mad at you for it, but both Bulimia and Anorexia have taken many lives.
Just ask yourself, would it be better for me to keep quiet and possibly lose my friend, or help her and have her be mad at me but still know she is ok?

I hope this helps. Good luck.

you're appropriate to suspect physique themes which includes your buddy. She particularly is self huge conscious approximately her photograph: 5' 5, a hundred and sixty lbs isn't underweight - so i do no longer think of she's anorexic - assuming that she's maintained around that comparable weight for awhile. It sounds like she is basically obsessed together with her physique. At her height - she might nonetheless be at a healthful weight around 130lbs, so she ought to truly lose some weight and be superb. That suggested, look at her eating types. Does she evade eating around others and then binge via herself previous due at evening? Is she working to the washing room after eating? look ahead to bulimia - which may well be basically as risky. EDIT: tell her that something under 1200 energy is going to place her physique into starvation mode which will lead her to end dropping weight and shop gaining weight. Then, shop an eye fixed on her because of the fact she is going to drop from loss of potential, rapid. tell her she will nonetheless drop extra pounds if she's eating between 1200 and 1600 energy and workout consultation. She's clueless.

Sounds like she has bulimia. NOW IS THE TIME FOR AN INTERVENTION! If something isn't done she will suffer permanent damage to her body and she may die. Sufferers of eating disorders often have body dysmorphic syndrome.

She could be bulimic, where you throw up right after you eat. Watch to see if she goes to the bathroom after every meal and if she has bad breath.

Well I know that when you say a friend, you really mean you. But eating a lot and going to the bathroom, i guess you mean to throw up, is bulemic. You should definatley see a doctor...I don't know why your parents haven't noticed.....

Sounds like she has a problem yes. She is probably going to the bathroom to put her finger down her throat to throw up. Sounds like she needs help, it's a hard disease to deal with and she will need psychological help.

If she eats a lot and throws up, she's bulimic. Anorexic people simply refuse to eat.
