What is the purpose of education?
Is it just to earn a living ... or is it for some
deeper purpose?

What do you think should be added to the present schooling to improve the lives of the children ... and therefore India?

Thank you

Definately its a very good question, we need to be focused and have to know the purpose of education. In my views education is essential for the improvements of the society. Definately I wont deny that major purpose of education is to have a good job, thick salary, live good. But this is not the ultimate gola in life. I feel some amount of spiritual education is also a must, may be you belong to any religion.

Education is not for earning our lively hood. The profession we we undertake is to earn livelihood. Even the uneducated earn their lively hood.

Another thing education does not mean knowing to read and write and get few qualifications.

Education is not the appropriate word or translation of VIDYA or JNANA.. To know what is real and permanent in the universe was treated as Vidya or Jnana. All others were called Avidya or Ajnana.
In schools we have to teach right principles and practises.

Education is to learn how to live, and earning is to survive.
To improve school education in India.. the teachers should be educated how to behave with children, and what kind of language to be used with them..make the students love what they learn, dont bully them to learn.

Yes surely, each and every human life in India, should be educated in either way to have their own life much better than present.

The present education system to be improved drastically to meet with international market, and we should compel to learn English and not to compel to study native laungage, (native language require only for writing and spreaking in India)
