so then all of a sudden i get super excited and by accident i let out the loudest, smelliest, manliest fart of my life

It's unfortunate and embarrassing but don't let it get you down - we're all human and we have bodies that do embarrassing stuff. Your guy is probably just embarrassed too and doesn't know how to talk to you about it. Call him up and see if you can laugh about it together. Just say something like, "Oh man, when I farted that was so embarrassing - I'm sorry! Did it totally freak you out?" but keep it light. You didn't do anything wrong.
