We keep a supply of all kinds of nuts on hand. Pecans, cashews, and almonds are my favorite. They have the added "plus," of raising your HDL (good cholesterol), which protects you from bad cholesterol. And just a few - go a long way to satisfy me.
Generally, foods high in protein will leave you satisfied longer than other foods.

Protein will hang in there a lot longer than carbohydrates, but the 2 together is good. A couple of low fat cheese sticks, a handful of nuts, some peanut butter pretzels, a peanut butter sandwich. I always carry the first two in my purse.

eat an apple when you're hungry
it makes you feel full plus it's healthy and yummy
also eat 3 regular meals (small) if you do this, you won't get hungry for snacks
some quick ideas: lowfat yogurt, cheese (you can get Laughing Cow cheese in any supemarket), salad, nuts, granola bars
a good meal when you have a few minutes to cook is 2 eggs any style and an apple or vegetable

I make personal trail mix by buying bulk dried fruit like banana chips and pineapple. I throw some nuts or sesame sticks in there, pretzels, whatever. I like to add mini oreos or m&m's if I'm stressed. Just grab a handful when you get a craving and munch. Most of it is very good for you.

Nothing wrong with snacking all day if its the right kind. I suggest raw nuts, fruits and veggies. It won't keep you going all day, as I doubt any snack will, but it is very good for you.

yogurt with granola mixed in it..you can add banana or your favorite fruit to the mix as well. Also trail mix is a good one...with nuts, raisens..cereal (chex mix, kix) and even m&m's ..the sweet and salty is yummm....Try and stay away from things that are all or mostly carbs because those tend to make you just want more...Fruit is always a good thing...also eat a good breakfast like granola or oatmeal to keep you going for awhile...

Something with a little fat in it. I find that a handful of almonds or other nuts can keep me going for a while. (A handful of tasty nuts will fill you up longer than celery or a packet of low fat snacks will)
Hope this helps

Almonds or walnuts. They have a lot of protein and will help you not get so hungry during the day.
