There is Two different programs. One is called explorer program. You can join those at age 15. They are sponsored with some police departments. They usual allow ride-alongs, they show you how a police department functions and is a great thing to do, to know if you want to be a cop. On top of knowing the right connections at a police department. Cadet programs Usual work next to explorer programs, But in a cadet program, you need to be 18 and, they pay your college while attending and give you a part time job at the police department usual doing clerk work and getting paid in the realm of 6 to 8 dollars hourly. If you do that type of program, you are required to spend I believe 2 to 4 years depending on the department.

But to get started call up your local police department and ask, if they have those programs, if they don't. Email me and I will give you paperwork for you can start one up they are not that hard and it will look really good....I started mine up.
