I always thought that the boy should ask the girl too. But then in high school, it was my Junior Ring dance and he was a senior, so I just took the plunge and asked him...and he said yes! Four years later, he proposed.

Goodluck!

I don't see anything wrong with a girl asking a guy out. If you like him go for it. You should be a strong and independent girl. You should be able to make decisions on your own. Besides, waiting for a shy guy to take a hint could be forever.

As you said that he is just shy. Then you are the one need to be active about this relationship, if you want a relationship with him.
It is easy to test that if he has feeling about you too, then he would do things you meant or asked for. not big, but like what you like and what you interests. This kind of guys do not talk, but they do observe and remember. and He is the keeper
Good luck!!

do no longer ask your cousin. it will be awkward, distinctly if her acquaintances are around. Smile at her in the hallways to start. Say hi once you get the possibility (whether that's only strolling previous her) and attempt to discover her whilst she's no longer together with her acquaintances. only arise, introduce your self, and communicate approximately what type she is going to, a instructor you the two hate, the nasty lunch, ext... do no longer come on too sturdy, yet do no longer forget approximately approximately her the two.

Where did you here that the guy should ask the girl out? Just ask him out if he is to shy to do it himself. Its the 21st century, go right ahead and ask.

Do you like the old fashioned guys who do the asking, paying, and whatnot? I think that if you like the boy, you should go for it! If not, think of how many other girls are in your school or wherever and how many may like him. You wouldn't want anyone else snatching him up!

Then ask him. My wife asked me out and we were married within five months. If you like him and he is shy don't worry about what people say. It's your life and you should do what makes you happy.

People shouldn't tell you such outdated rubbish, this is the 21st century, if you like him, you ask him. Just don't do it in front of anyone else, as he might bottle it and hurt you out of embarrassment.

If I were you and I wanted to ask him out, I would spend at least a week reflecting on my situation. I would write several poems about my feelings and then read them aloud to him whilst he is trying to watch his favourite TV programme. If he ignores you then you will know his mind is not open, and that his pipsis is hidden.
