playing any of my movies. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get my DVD player to work? I have had it for about a year and a half and have never had a problem like this before. I went to the troubleshooting guide, but all it said to do if the DVD won't play is to take all the discs out for about 30 minutes...Well that didn't work at all...
Any other suggestions? I have even unplugged it and I have tried several different dvd's. None of them will play. It doesn't even say error or anything.

It sounds as though the laser in the DVD player is either dirty, or maybe gone. The fact that it does not say " no disc" or something is sort of making me lean to it being gone. I hope it's just dirty. Good luck .

I am really guessing on this one, but if it just all of a sudden stopped doing its job and did not display any error messages prior to this, something inside that player may have died without warning. You may want to have a repair pro look at it, but be prepared to buy a new player. Repairing this one may not be possible or might cost more than what you paid for it new.
