my bf is overseas and booked his trip back home for vday & he wrote me an email and said he wants to make?

a commitment..is he going to ask me to marry him? ...we have been dating almost 5 years and never have talked marriage before ...we split up for five months and he said he found out that the grass is not greener and he never knew what he ad until he almost lost me ...another guy asked me to marry him in that short separation...so is he afraid that if he doesn't make a commitment that he will lose me to the other guy? help!!!
