I want to join the xbox gaming portal but the only options given are credit card and online check,i dont have a credit card and dont know how to send an online check. Does anyone know?

Using one of your checks, it will prompt you for your routing number first, which is the nine numbers at the bottom left of the check. Then it will ask for the account number, which is the set of numbers to the right of the routing number. Then it may ask for the check number. If you don't use checks, you may be able to buy a Visa or Amex gift card with cash (at a convenience store) and use it like a credit card to join the gaming thing online.

Anonymous is correct. If you don't have actual paper checks, your bank can give you the information you need. If they ask for a check number, just make one up. The only thing it is used for is to appear on your checking account statement. I have a checking account I've used this way for years. I wouldn't know the next check number if my life depended on it, but neither would the on-line store.
