Spinach, broccoli, dried apricots, raisins, figs, some nuts.
Cooked: lentils, legumes like pinto and navy beans.
Meat contains some iron. Shellfish too.
Molasses is high in iron- drizzle some on oatmeal for a high-iron protein breakfast. Most grain cereals have it.
To increase your absorption of iron, drink a glass of orange juice when you eat iron-rich foods. The ascorbic acid in the juice boosts the body's ability to absorb iron.
If you do take a supplement, take it at night- it's easier on the body. SlowFe is one good brand.

Baby spinach, watercress, stout, guinness. There are probably lots of raw things you can eat with a high iron content. For cooked - liver is good - if you season some flour with salt and black pepper, dip the liver in coating both sides and fry for a few minutes it is actually really quite nice!

You can buy ready-cooked packages of roast beef, turkey, chicken, etc. at your supermarket--in the lunchmeat aisle. Meat has the most iron, but raisins have some.

Dark vegtables, and meats.
You can't expect quality nutrition on a rush.
But if you're that desperate for iron intake, you might as well take an iron supplement.
