Today when I was at the basketball game. I said "good game" to a boy on the team that I happen to really like. And I think that he likes me. He had his best friend with him. And his mom. He made a noise like "do you actually think that you can talk to me". He mom said thanks. Was he just showing off in front of his friend? Because when I say that usually, he just says like "I know" (sarcastically) or thanks. Also, he did not do so well, I was just trying to be polite.

Yeah he was trying to show off. If he is going to be that way towards you I would just totally ignore him. Pfff you don't need that from him...Your better than that. He might think that he is cool acting that way but he really looks like a total idiot.

So, maybe the noise was, "do you actually think that was a nice game"? He could have been disappointed about the game, and your comment was just badly timed. Try not to read too much into a noise. With his mom and his best friend there, he may have felt a little self-conscious talking to you. Wait until you see him alone, and then ask him about it.

Sarcastic is the key word , I don't think he was showing off just upset with not doing well and took it out on you that you didn't deserve.

Don't worry about this dude. If that's how he's gonna act, then he doesn't deserve you. There is absolutely no excuse for his behavior. If you and him were to start dating, would you still want him to treat you that way? Find someone who will be at least polite to you.....someone who will appreciate you. Best of luck.

He may have been embarassed in front of his mom.

Please only tell him he had a good game when he does. If you say it all the time, even when he had a so-so game, he won't believe you.

If you want his to notice you, sometimes just smile.

What a jerk! Who cares if he was "just showing off". Stop persuing him.
