Here's a real easy, and delicious recipe for your daughter. She can help make it, too.

Brown both sides of the pork chops in frying pan with a little shortening, over medium high heat. Season lightly. Add can or two of chicken noodle soup. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 30 minutes. Covering will speed up the cooking slightly. The soup will thicken, but you can add a bit of water as needed. Our family uses the thickened soup as gravy over mashed potatoes. It could also take the place of the potatoes, if you wish. Add a side of veggies and you are all set for dinner.

If you want to make this into an easier dinner, cut the chops into bite size pieces before browning. You will have to stir them a few times to brown evenly. When you add the chicken noodle soup, also add some canned or frozen mixed veggies. This time add about half as much water as soup, and cover. On the side prepare some rice. Serve the chops and veggies over the rice, in a bowl.

With a little experimenting you and your daughter can make this recipe all your own.

I swear by everything that is good that my Aunt Wanda puts them under the broiler until they set off the smoke alarm.

My mom would just bake them until they were cooked through (with a little sat and a little garlic) - an internal temp of 165 (about fifteen minutes at 350 depending entirely on how thick the chops are). Serve with plenty of applesauce (which was the best part of pork chops for dinner when I was eleven)

Hope this helps.

Easy Pork Chops:

Coat pork chops with a mixture of Flour, Salt and Pepper.
You can do this by putting the flour, Salt and pepper in a ziploc bag and adding chops one by one..shake thoroughly.

In a frying pan add enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
Fry chop until brown turning once so each side gets brown. chops should contain no pink when fully cooked.

Mean while in a bowl mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with 1 cup of milk.

Pour soup mixture over the chops in the frying pan. simmer another 5 minutes.

Enjoy

Shake N Bake!
If you can run to the store, grab a box of shake n bake. It's just a bread crumb type covering. Then Bake em.

Serve them with Applesauce.

Or... try this, it sound tasty:

Quick, Easy -N- Fast Pork Chops with Apples Recipe

3 medium tart apples, such as Granny Smith
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
1 t. vegetable oil
4 pork chops
1/4 t. salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/4 C. apple cider or juice

Peel, core and thinly slice apples, and sprinkle with nutmeg.

In non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, then add pork chops, salt and pepper. After about 5 minutes, turn chops to brown other side. After 5 minutes, add apples and cover. Lower heat and simmer another 5 to 10 minutes. Thickness of chops will determine cooking time; center of chop should be white, and juices should run clear.

Remove chops from pan to a serving plate. Pour in juice or cider, turning up heat as you stir juice and apples, then spoon onto pork chops.

Makes 4 servings.

Oh, dear. Honestly, it doesn't sound like your daughter really understands just what she's getting into. She may be one of those brides who has an emotional breakdown after her wedding, because her "big day" is over and gone, and now she has to live regular life. She sounds like a bit of a spoiled brat, too. That's not entirely your fault... she's legally been an adult for the past 7 years, and for those years no one is responsible but her. I think she IS at very real risk of reducing her life to being "Mrs. _____," followed by "_______'s Mom," which she'll eventually realize was a mistake -- not for being a wife and mom, but for ONLY being a wife and mom. Still, it's her life now, and there's nothing anything poignant enough that you can say to make her wake up and smell the coffee in just one conversation. And besides, her wedding day isn't the time for that conversation anyway. So keep it simple. Tell her you're happy for her, your sad to let her go, you think Brad is a great guy, etc. And add this: "Always remember this, my dearest. Love isn't just a feeling. It's also a choice."
