you need to ask your friend first if she has any feelings for him. If you tell your friend straight up that you like her ex and want to ask him out.. and she still has feelings for him, she will most likely lie to you and say that its ok.. because good friends do that. But you need to find out the info before you tell her your intentions. If she says its ok and you honestly think she doesnt like him any more, and isnt bitter about it.. go for it? Maybe at a party start talking to him/flirting.. he may think that you are off limits due to your best friends. If you have ANY thoughts that your best friend has feelings for him, or it was a messy break up.. do not go for him. it will only end bad for your friendship.

not a good idea how would you feel if she went out with your ex he may be yummy but is he worth looseing a best friend over and lets face it you cant exactly avoid the two of them comming in to contact again and you would be in a difficult position no leave well enough alone

I would not go out with any guy that my best friend went out with .. Sorry, If your best friend went out with him and then you do , You might find yourself without a best friend.

dont belive me i had the same situation exept he asked me out n i said yea but after i said yea my bf hated me . i asked her if she cared if i wnt out with him n she said no but i found out that she did care so if u want to loose ur bf then ask him out but my opion is that no bf is worth a guy so leave him alone and even if he asks u out say no
