If not in new york , then in genaral what is the best college for a person who would like to be in the medical field?

Stony Brook University. Stony Brook is also home to Stony Brook Medical Center, the biggest hospital in Suffolk County, and one of the biggest hospital in the NYC region. Best part about Stony Brook is the excellent science and medical programs plus it's a New York State school. If you have the money, you should try Columbia or NYU in NYC, but Stony Brook is almost on the same level as those two private universities.
