He's the only guy i've ever thought i was in love with and there's really no chance that we'd ever get to back together, but it still really hurts to see him. I have feelings for this really sweet guy. I feel horrible for using him, but i don't know how else to get over my ex. what else could i do? how do i get over my ex?

Give it time.
Do not jump into something else if you know that you're just going to hurt them.
All this does is keep passing the pain from one person to the next.

It sounds like you probably really like this girl. I think if you are worried it might mess up the friendship, then you should maybe leave it as that! Well, if you want to take a chance at love then go for it! Then the whole thing with her talking to other guys! Is she really attractive?, if she is then there is always going to be some guys that she will be just talking to! That does not mean she has to have a big attraction to talk to them! So don't worry about that part! Good luck!

The only way you're going to be able to get over your ex is to go out and have fun. Maybe date around some, or even find another boyfriend. Forget about the past, chaulk it up for experience, and have a wonderful time in the future. Best of luck to you.

If my husband dies before I do, do I go and find myself a man to stop the hurt? I hope not. Don't go and use someone else, it would hurt them. Focus on your studies and becoming an adult . NOthing will take away the sadness you feel. You have to go through it, endure it and then witness it getting less and less until you can say:" Wow, I can't believe I felt that way about him once."

ok this exact same thing happened to me. just wait a while before you go back out there. you need a little while to get over your ex. there's no rush. obviously this wasnt true love. wait a while and once youve recovered as much as possible, try to get back out thtere. I have a new boyfriend, even though i still have feelings for my ex. but what youre doing isnt abad thing just emember, once you love someone they are forever a part of you. so dont feel bad, its completly normal. just give yourself sometime to get recovered from your loss.

Date other guys, but don't get serious with anybody yet.Give it some time to heal. You'll know when the time is right,so when opportunity knocks you go and answer that door.Good Luck& Take Care.

Be honest. Treat the new guy just like you would want to be treated, with respect. I agree , get out there, make new friends, see where those relationships lead. Just take some time to heal.

Hell yes, go date, go "dilute his influence" at the moment, he is still the centre of your world, you need to change scenery and distract yourself while he fades into fond memories.

Just don't try doing anything stupid, like using someone else to make your ex jealous.
