Especially when people attend to play with her. She is a very friendly puppy. Like instead of licking you, she bites. What can I do?

Both are pretty common for babies--she will grow out of both. My poodle did.

Puppies always play bite and don't mean to hurt. But you do need to break them or they will think it's OK when they get older. This is what you do and it works like a CHARM! Take an empty soda can, put some coins in it and tape the opening. Grab a really good chew toy in hand as well. Have both nearby and when you play with her and when she bites, give her a strong "no bite" command and shake the can - she will definitely respond right away! Give her the chew toy and highly praise her for chewing on the toy. You'll have her trained in a matter of hours! Use this method as needed and stay consistent. Don't confuse her by playing rough with her even though it can be fun at times - resist! When she gets older she will know how to play without biting. Hope this help...

well I can tell you that her being excited and peeing is because she was breed in a kennel or puppy mill. I breed yorkies and none of mine ever piddled. They jumped on everyone and licked them to death.
As she is a puppy for the biting she is just a puppy so tell her no bite. hang in there. when she turns 2 years old you won't believe she is the same dog. they change so much.
I always check up on my past pups. everyone is so in love with them with no complaints. only had one in the beging where some where getting car sick but they grew out of it and ride everywhere now.

My dog bit instead of licking, there are many ways to get them out of this.

1. when she bit our hands we'd grab her jaw and hold it and she didnt like this so she'd stop biting. Holding the jaw won't hurt much as the puppy still has small teeth, better to do now than when it gets older.
2. also, when she started biting we firmly say no, and she'd usually lick us afterwards and we tell her she was good and reward her.

Is your dog male? Many male dogs who haven't matured pee when they get excited, they'll soon learn to control their bladder more, by 6 months this should stop, once they mature they'll start humping legs instead, just keep him off carpets for a while.

Hope this info helps.

Here's a short simple answer to your question. The peeing--when you come home or when she gets excited...ignore her. I dog sat for a couple of cockers who did that and gradually get it that peeing in the house is not cool. Same thing with the biting...tell her no...and then ignore her. If she persists...place her somewhere like a kennel or other room that she will be alone in.

Do not allow your puppy to ever bite you even when playing. To stop it flick the end of her nose with your finger, it won't hurt her but will get her attention. These dogs are famous for peeing even when they are fully grown.

the pee is just that she is exicted and should stop iin time.

biteing : When she attempts to bite, take your index finger,

tap her smartly on the nose, ( that a vary sensative area )

and say : NO ! BAD! sturnly

my puppy does the same thing, we take her to classes but she doesnt pay that much attention because she is only 8 months old. it will take a while for them to settle down so just be patient with her and she will get nicer, eventually.
